Profile: Blackberry, blueberry, cherry pie with a spicy crust, polished cedar and menthol. Medium-bodied, dark chocolate and baking spice, dried herbs and black olive, supple tannin, a brine and nori savoury aspect, dense feel to it, though not heavy, and a silty tannin and baked raspberry finish of good length.

PARTIDA CREUS

Grape Varietal: Macabeo and Cartoixa Vermell

Profile: BN stands for Blanco Natural. Mainly Macabeo, it also has a small percentage of Cartoixa Vermell, a white grape with light pink skins that gives the Partida Creus BN a peachy tint after a very brief bit of skin maceration. The juice is briny, with savoury aromas of straw-like yellow citrus. The acidity is up there, lots of mouth watering piquancy that just calls out for a plate of boquerones to go with it.

Profile: This 2021 vintage has a beautiful amount of verve and clarity. It’s a perfect vintage to showcase the wine’s chalky and saline minimality. The wine flaunts a nicely expressive complexity with herbs, stone fruits, and gentle spices.

Profile: Wine rich in flavor, tradition, fruit and tension. True sparkling wine that fears nothing, not even the years.

Process: Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts with short maceration on the skins. Aged in steel.

Profile:  A fresh and crisp Chenin blanc

Process: Direct press. Alcoholic/malolactic fermentation and aging on the lees with regular batonnages for 12 months in used burgundy barrels.

Profile: Notes of tree fruits, apple, pear, green apples, minerals, honey, earthy, red fruits - raspberry, strawberry.

Process: Direct press, fermented with native yeast, natural malolactic fermentation. Minimal sulfites added at bottling, lightly filtered. Aged in stainless steel tanks for 6 months.

Profile: A rich orange colour with aromas of dry spices, shrubs, minerals, ripe apple peels, and jade. The tannins are strong and concentrated in the mouth, and the acidity is high.

LES CIGALES DANS LA FOURMILIÈRE

Profile: The most complex, tannic and aromatic orange wine made from their cellar; a big mouthful of apricots combined with a dash of mandarine and persimmon, peach, star anise and grey tea.

BUTUL

Origin: Slovenia, Primorska

Profile: Territorial wines, without frills, in which the Istrian soil emerges in all its beauty, enhancing the flavor and citrus notes of the local Malvazija.

Process: Natural fermentation followed by a 3-day maceration, without temperature control, no enzymes, yeasts, clarifications. Aged in exhausted barriques for 6 months. Unfiltered and without added sulphites.

ORIOL ARTIGAS

Origin: Spain, Cataluña

Grape Varietal: 100% Pansa Blanca (Xarello)
ABV: 11.8%

Profile: An aromatic, crunchy and profiled wine. On the nose, aromas of ripe white fruit stand out, with notes of white flowers and Mediterranean herbs. In the mouth, it is juicy, with a certain volume and structure, and with a fairly long finish.

Process: The harvest is carried out manually. Once in the winery, the grapes are destemmed without squeezing and then macerated with the skins for 11 days. After this, the grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless steel deposits with native yeasts. Once the fermentation has ended, the wine rests on its fine lees for 9 months in the same deposits. It is bottled without clarifying nor stabilising or filtering and without added sulphur.

CASCINA DEGLI ULIVI

Origin: Piedmonte, Italy
Type: Red
Grape Varietal: Barbera, Dolcetto
ABV: 12%

Profile: Crunchy blackberries, raisiny plums and tart cherries form the backbone of fruit on this dynamic and boldly flavoured red. Some moderate tannins underpin mild acidity through a very dry finish.

Process: A wicked blend of equal parts Barbera and Dolcetto from prized 60-year-old vines. The grapes in this blend are usually used for two of degli Ulivi's top red labels but in vintages not up to par are reclassified into this delicious, crunchy red. This wine matures for 1 year on its lees in oak barrels and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. 

DOMAINE DE RAPATEL

Origin: France - Languedoc

Grape Varietal: Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah
ABV: 14.0%

Profile: Dry and bold, citrus notes with a smokey finish. Very ripe, but not very tannic. It has a nice balance carried by the acidity of the vintage.

Process: De-steming, regular remontage, several years of maceration in the tank, no filtration.

DORMILONA

Origin: Australia, Margaret River
Type: Red
Grape Varietal: 60% Tempranillo 40% Shiraz
ABV: 12.5%

Profile: Ripe red fruit on the nose; the palate is full of juicy raspberry and cranberry characters with a pomegranate edge. Light and bright with lovely complexity.

Process: Hand harvested & gently pressed. Held on skins for a short period of time in concrete eggs and open fermenters before being pressed off to seasoned French oak puncheons.

CASCINA DEGLI ULIVI

Origin: Piedmonte, Italy

Grape Varietal: 85% Barbera, 10% Dolcetto, 5% Ancellotta
ABV: 14.5%

Profile: On the nose, the typical character of the Barbera grape is predominant: warm, mature and showing excellent acidity. Aromas of cherries, rhubarb, tobacco, liquorice, iron, plus balsamic and oregano notes. The first taste confirms our suspicions: a powerful freshness that will last in the bottle for years. A sprightly, flavoursome wine with fine tannins. Its alcohol content shouldn't be underestimated, but has absolutely no influence at all on the pleasure each sip provides.

L’OPERA DES VINS

Grape Varietal: 100% Pineau d’Aunis

Profile: Spiciness on the nose, and slight bitterness on the end. Tannins are restrained and a streak of acidity.

Process: Whole bunch fermentation and pressed and transferred to Robinot-aged barrels for 15 months.

DARIO PRINČIČ
Origin: Italy - Friuli
Type: Red
Grape Varietal: 50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon
ABV: 13%

Profile: It marries an unending and electric freshness with a voluptuous and dynamic minerality: arctic berries, graphite and vegetable notes dance with spicy and balsamic overtones.

Process: Made from a blend of carefully selected Merlot and a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon, with the exact proportion varying every year, with shorter maceration than his other, more aged reds and no less than 24 months of elevage in large barrels and steel.

KOERNER

Profile: Lighter, fresher expression with soft texture, silky and plush with some sweet, pretty perfume and red berry fruit character. A lively, crisp finish to keep things refreshing. Beautiful, revitalising, brisk and crisp red wine.

NOËLLA MORANTIN

Origin: France, Loire Valley
Type: Red
Grape Varietal: 60% Cabernet Franc, 40% Côt (Malbec)
ABV: 13.4%

Profile: The wine shows a deep black/red color with floral aromas of ripe black raspberry and red currant, peppery and lush with citrus and herbal notes. The palate is dense and ripe but very bright and vibrant, with sapid black raspberry/black cherry fruit with licorice and black pepper, finishing with firm chalky acidity and lingering black fruits.

⁠PÉTER WETZER

Profile: Fresh, aromatic and pure, this is one of the finest of Wetzer's offerings. Intense aromas of clove and citrus peel, with a medium body and fine tannins and freshness. 

Process: Made from parcels all around the ancient town of Sopron on the Austrian border. The vines are all well over thirty years old and are planted on a variety of soils including schist, loam, limestone and loess. The grapes are fermented in open top wooden vats with 5% remaining whole-clusters. It then ages in old neutral barrels on lees without stirring.

ORIOL ARTIGAS

Origin: Spain, Cataluña

Grape Varietal: Garnatxa Negra (Red Grenache),Syrah, Merlot
ABV: 13.5%

Profile: A fruity, sophisticated, and delicate wine. It boasts a potent bouquet, with ripe red fruit aromas underscored by hints of spices. On the palate, it is smooth, vibrant, and highly expressive.

Process: Harvest is performed by hand. On they arrive at the winery, the Merlot grapes are pressed directly, the Grenache is destemmed and the Syrah is left intact. Then, they are stomped and left to macerate for 5 days with the skins. The grapes ferment in stainless steel deposits with native yeasts. Once the fermentation has ended, the wine rests on its fine lees for 10 months in the same deposits. It is bottled without clarifying nor stabilising or filtering and without added sulphur.

CASCINA DEGLI ULIVI

Grape Varietal: 85% Barbera, 10% Docetto, 5% Ancellotta

Profile: A profound nose, complex, driven by black fruit aromas, spices, and vanilla... Palate: fleshy, juicy, with beautiful body balanced by acidity, and a long finish.

Process: Macerated 5 weeks, matured in 25-hl barrels for 24 months followed by 24 months in demi-muid barrels. Zero sulphur, and no filtration.

ALESSANDRO VIOLA

Profile: Sings of black plums and crunchy black cherry, violets, tobacco and timber.  Naturally bold.

ABV: 13.5%

Profile: A harmonious and elegant wine: in the glass it has a ruby red colour, the nose is very territorial and immediately takes us back to the slopes of Etna through the clear mineral notes that accompany fruity and floral scents. The taste is rich and round, with a long finish and excellent balance.

Process: Spontaneous fermentation using only indigenous yeasts with maceration on the skins for about three weeks. Maturation for 12 months in cement tanks, bottling during the waning moon period, without any addition of sulphites or other chemicals.

FRÉDÉRIC BROUCA

Origin: France, Languedoc-Roussillon

Grape Varietal: Samsó (Cinsault)
ABV: 13.5%

Profile: A hint of musk, or animale as we say is joined by char, tar, grilled herbs and roses just past their prime. But freshness is not compromised and red fruit is front and centre.

Process: Unfined, unfiltered with minimal sulfur added at bottling.

Profile: Beyond a big hit of Beaujolais on the nose are jonquils, earthy mushrooms and pretty, fresh-hay aromas. Full of the essence and bounce of youthfulness with medium weight, gentle tannins, and enviable length.

Process: Three weeks in large wooden cuvée then pressed to stainless steel to capture purity. Full carbonic maceration.
