The Spiced Mead is a homage to the masala chai materialised in a beer style mead. Lion City Meadery took spices like Cinnamon, Cloves and Star Anise, roasted them whole and fermented them together with our custom blend of eucalyptus honey.
Whole dried hibiscus flowers were steeped to extract the flavour and colour into a tea, and fermented with Lion City Meadery's custom blend of eucalyptus honey. The mead is then finished off with both, whole-crushed and pureed blueberries. The result is a tannin-rich, floral mead with a dry wine-like finish that is excellent with any meal consisting of red meat.
Lion City Meadery brews from all-natural ingredients with no additives, artificial flavouring or colouring. Highly recommended to be savoured chilled and in a glass.
